Cancellation policy
If you need to cancel a session please give at least 48 hours notice. If you do not attend a planned session or cancel at less than 48-hours notice, you will be charged your usual fee for the missed session.
If you are unable to attend a session, please contact me in order to reschedule.
I will give you as much notice as possible of holidays and other absences I foresee. If I need to cancel a session in the event of an emergency I will endeavor to offer you an alternative appointment where at all possible.
Confidentiality:
Overall, what you disclose in sessions is kept strictly confidential. However, under UK law there are some exceptional circumstances when confidentiality will be breached:
– When you give consent for confidentiality to be broken.
– When I am required to by a Court of Law.
– Where statutory law requires disclosure.
If I feel that there is a significant risk of harm to either yourself or to others, or if there is sufficient evidence to raise concern for the health, welfare or safety of children or vulnerable adults.
In circumstances where I may need to breach confidentiality I will initially encourage you to contact an appropriate source of support/help. However, if you are unable or unwilling to do so I will have to make this contact myself. Where possible, I will discuss this with you first and explain why I am taking this course of action. If the danger is sufficiently acute, for example if you are not able to make rational decisions regarding your personal safety or that of others, discussion may not be possible.
I am in supervision as part of my commitment to good professional practice and in accordance with my professional code. The duty of confidentiality extends to my supervisor/s.
Arrival and late attendance
I regret that I cannot make up time if you arrive late for your session. If you wish to arrive earlier than your appointment time please wait until your start time before coming in (or before I admit you online)
Records
Notes of our sessions are kept in accordance with UK GDPR guidelines. I am required to keep these for a period of time in accordance with my professional insurance, after which time they are then shredded. These records are kept in order to provide me with an ‘aide memoire’ of the content of our work.
Online Working
Please note that the online platform I work with will be as secure as is possible. I am not however able to guarantee ‘absolute’ security as aspects of this are beyond my control. If we are working online, please make note of the following:
Please try to find an uninterrupted space and place where you may take some time ‘just for you’.
Please have some water and tissues to hand, and ensure that you are comfortable.
Please provide me with an alternative contact number for yourself should we lose contact
Where clients may present with any significant risk concerns, you have given permission for me to be able to contact the person named on the ‘New Client Intake Form’ - someone who would be able to make physical contact with you, to check on your wellbeing.
International Clients
Please note that I am based in the U.K. and am insured and governed under U.K. jurisdiction.
Emergency
Regrettably, I am unable to offer emergency support as I cannot guarantee my availability to you. If you are in danger in any way please contact the emergency services, your GP, the UK Samaritans (116 123) or check findahelpline.com for global emergency numbers & online support.

Payment can be made in full at the end of each session by BACS. I have agreed to pay the sum (confirmed on email) (per 50 minutes).
